This home has an enviable outlook and orientation towards the beach and morning sun. It also sits in an excellent location for entertainment and a relaxed lifestyle. Our clients were looking to add improvements and functionality to the home to maximise the potential for the whole family.
The new building will use the existing slab to build up a timber floor from it 1m higher and extend past its footprint. Effectively, a brand-new home that connects to the old via one clean cut line.
This will be easier and more cost effective to build being a brand new construction, leaving more ability to fund raking glass stacker/sliders, panelled feature raking ceiling and allows for new and more effective construction rather than relying on making good of the old.
This also gives the clients more than what they asked for. Rather than just the bedroom having more of a commanding view being raised to a higher floor level, all the living areas - dining, kitchen, and outdoor entertainment - gain from the higher elevation in a seamless fashion and look.
