Modernisation with a Rural Outlook
Modernisation with a Rural Outlook
Located on the side of a hill with beautiful rural views, the owners of this property wanted to clean up the roof design (removing areas of concern) and modernise their forever home with fresh, new cladding and joinery.
Making the house warmer, whilst utilising space and creating larger living areas was also important. We increased the kitchen, dining and living areas to provide better flow and good trafficable space.
The outdoor area was also improved plus is now covered, and ties in seamlessly with the overall style of the home. With a spa and outdoor fire creating ambiance for those colder winter nights, the family spends a lot of time in this area throughout summer and winter.
We went with a darker colour for the main cladding and roof followed by a lighter, more natural coloured cladding to break up the colours and give the house a modern, natural look. The home also received new joinery throughout.
To improve on the views available from the home, larger doors and windows were placed in the main area of the building, opening the living space to rural views and giving the house a nice indoor/outdoor flow and feel.
Renovating the main bedroom upstairs was the final piece of the puzzle. A his and hers wardrobe and ensuite with views makes for a relaxing space to get away and have some down time.
