100yr Old Home Gets Refresh
This home has a long history in Tauranga, previously located in the Avenues more than 100 years ago. It was originally built by the Faulkners, a name synonymous with Tauranga. Many years later, it was relocated to our client's site in Wairoa while being lovingly renovated in keeping with the original period of construction.
The minor dwelling addition that we designed is to accommodate a growing family with the addition of grandchildren. While we have reinstated the workshop and wood store on the ground floor, we have added a kitchenette. We have also designed a new upper level with two bedrooms and a shared bathroom.
Substantial efforts have been made to maintain the vintage features and designs throughout the addition, in keeping with the original structure. We will be very exited to be able to photograph and share the results on completion of this project.
