TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
During 2009, Creative Space (Principal: Andre Laurent) was responsible for designing and project managing the very significant modifications and extensions to our beach house at Little Bay, a remote part of the northern Coromandel Peninsula.
The house is on a cliff overlooking the beach, and designing and managing the build was very challenging: with council regulations, Resource Management issues, a very restricted site in a remote area of the country that has unsealed roads, as well as demanding and unsophisticated clients (from a building point of view) who needed careful nurturing through the complex processes.
The outcome is excellent: a house with which we are pleased and content to live in, a house that has clever and appropriate design that we enjoy every time we live in it – it has grown on us and we appreciate the careful detail and the attention to critical issues, such as deck space, views, liveability, functionality and practical features.
The remoteness of the site added layers of complexity to getting the job done, but it was done well and we are more than happy to recommend Creative Space to prospective clients
